When purchasing from or using the website or services of Paracord SA (“we”, “us”, “our”), now or in the future, you (the “customer”, “consumer”, “purchaser”) are agreeing to the latest Terms and Conditions.

These terms do contain a limitation of our liability.

  1. The Basics

1.1 – You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Paracord SA cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

1.2 – You may not use this website for any purpose that are unlawful or otherwise prohibited by these Terms and Conditions.

1.3 – You must be a human. Accounts registered by “bots” or other automated methods are not permitted.

1.4 – We reserve the right to terminate your account in the event that you do not comply with the Terms and Conditions set forth on this page.

  1. Pricing, Payments and Refunds

2.1 – Paracord SA is not a registered VAT vendor. No VAT is charged on orders.

2.2 – In the event of pricing errors, whether incorrectly displayed on the website or incorrectly calculated at checkout, we reserve the right to present you with the correct pricing of your order. If you do not wish to proceed with the new pricing we will offer a cancellation and refund.

2.3 – We use two different PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliant payment processors (Ozow and Payfast).

2.3.1 – You understand that payments are processed through Payfast or Ozow during checkout and by proceeding with your payment you are also bound to their respective Terms and Conditions.

2.4 – Payment of your order is passed directly to our payment processor and doesn’t ever go through our servers. 

2.4.1 – We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of our payment processors.

2.5 – In the event your order is refunded, the refund will be processed to the method of payment used during checkout.

2.6 – Refunds can take up to but not limited to 7 – 10 business days to process depending on the payment method used.

2.7 – Per the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act of 2002 section 44, you are entitled (with exceptions and conditions per heading 2.7.3) to cancel without reason and without penalty any transaction and any related credit agreement for the supply of goods within seven days after the date of the receipt of the goods;

2.7.1 – In the event you exercise your rights per heading 2.7, goods must be returned to us at your expense. If you wish for us to arrange collection we shall charge at current courier rates based on your location at the time of cancellation.

2.7.2 – If payment for the goods or services has been effected prior to a consumer exercising a right referred to in subsection (2.7). the consumer is entitled to a full refund of such payment, which refund must be made within 30 days of the date of cancellation.

2.7.3 – Exceptions and conditions

2.7.3.1 – We cannot accept returns on any goods that have been partially or entirely disassembled, physically altered, permanently installed, affixed, attached, joined or added to, blended or combined with, or embedded within, other goods or property.

2.7.3.2 – If the goods are in their original unopened packaging our restocking fee will be waived.

2.7.3.3 – If the goods are in their original condition and repackaged in their original packaging a 20% restocking fee will apply.

2.7.3.4 – If the goods are in an unacceptable condition we may charge for the necessary restoration costs to render the goods fit for re-stocking.

  1. Shipping and Availability

3.1 – Shipping

3.1.1 – Shipping is handled by The Courier Guy and subject to their Terms and Conditions available here.

3.1.2 – A flat rate of R120 will be charged on all orders. This flat rate does not include bulk orders and will vary. You will receive an e-mail directly from The Courier Guy once your order has been collected. This e-mail will contain your tracking information. 

3.1.3 – The delivery times stated on our website are estimates only and may differ based on your address and the couriers delivery schedule. The expected delivery times are as follows:

3.1.3.1 – 1 – 5 business days. Transit times vary by Major Centre.

3.1.4 – Special area surcharges may apply for some towns and areas such as mines, power stations, plots, farms, remote areas, military bases, game lodges, port / harbors and embassies.

3.1.5 – We only ship on business days (Monday to Friday).

3.1.5.1 – Lead time on orders are between 1 and 2 business days before it is shipped out.

3.1.5.2 – We do not ship on public holidays

3.1.5.3 – In the event of a miss-quoted shipping rate or where a surcharge has not been accurately applied to the price quoted, we reserve the right to requote you at the correct rate or ship your shipment at a service equivalent to the rate paid.

3.2 – Insurance

3.2.1 – All orders shipped include insurance to the value of R1000.

3.2.2 – Additional insurance can be added. This is charged at 2% of the value of your order. Please contact us if you wish to add insurance.Additional insurance can be purchased during checkout. This is charged at 2% of the value of your order.

3.2.3 – You will be responsible for any excess payable in the event you submit a claim.

3.2.4 – As per The Courier Guy’s Terms and Conditions, the Customer or Sender shall advise The Courier Guy in writing, strictly within 48 hours, of the damaged / lost or stolen goods being delivered / or expected to receive, at claims@thecourierguy.co.za. No claims will be honored if not received within the 48-hour notice period.

3.3 – Availability of Products

3.3.1 – While we do our very best to ensure the availability of our products are accurately reflected on our website, in the event your products are unavailable after your order has been submitted we will contact you with alternative options or offer a cancellation and refund.

3.3.2 – We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from product availability or the inability to ship a product you have purchased from us.

  1. Copyright and Content Ownership

5.1 – We claim no intellectual property rights or copyrights over the brands and products we sell, promote or market.

5.2 – This website or parts thereof including its design, logo and content are owned by, licensed to or approved for use by Paracord SA.

5.3 – You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of this website, however, you have permission to link to, electronically copy or print hard copies of this website solely for personal, non-commercial purposes related to placing an order or shopping on this site. Unless we give you express written permission in advance, any other use of this website, its content and information, including framing is not permitted.

5.4 – You may not modify another website or use our name or logo so as to falsely imply that it or you are associated with Paracord SA.

5.5 – The use of automated data processing systems or software to extract or scrape data from our website is not permitted.

  1. Links to third-party websites

6.1 – We may provide links to third-party websites for informational purposes. We claim no ownership of any third-party websites linked.

6.2 – By clicking an external link you acknowledge that Paracord SA has no control over the content or availability of third-party websites.

  1. Changes

7.1 – We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, and your continued use of our website and services is an agreement of the latest Terms and Conditions as described on this page.

7.2 – We reserve the right to modify this website and any of its contents at any time.

7.2.1 – We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting in temporary or permanent changes to our website.

  1. Liability

8.1 – You expressly understand and agree that Paracord SA shall not be liable, in law or in equity, to you or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, lost profits, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if Paracord SA has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use this website; (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through or from Paracord SA; (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iv) or any other matter relating to these Terms and Conditions, whether as a breach of contract, tort (including negligence whether active or passive), or any other theory of liability.
